Welcome!

If you came from Instagram, welcome! If not, then make sure to check out my latest Instagram post to see what inspired our living room! I wanted something simple yet chic and I believe our inspiration will do just that.

Fireplace

We plan to have the Split Mod Lunar stone for our fireplace and it will run up to our 12ft ceiling. The fireplace within will be a more modern look without a hearth. We decided to not have a hearth as it takes up space and wouldn't get used for anything. A picture of the stone we plan to use is located below!

Cabinets & Shelving

We have an open concept floor plan, so my idea is to have the living room, dinning room, and kitchen all be a part of one another yet their own piece of the house! To incorporate idea from the kitchen/dining room area into the living room, we decided to have black cabinets on each side of the fireplace with white shelving above. It will help the living room flow with the other rooms without making it too eye catching! Each of the shelves will have strip lighting to show off our decor.

The day has finally come for our barn concrete to be poured for our porch and driveway! It has been a long time coming, but it is completed. We started the barn back in November of 2021 and we are just weeks away from it being complete. We asked for the concrete to be aligned with the edge of the roof line in order to help prevent water and snow from running the ground under our porch area. Below is step on of the phase.

Once we covered the original post as seen above, we stained them ourselves with BEHR waterproof stain from Home Depot (link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-PREMIUM-1-gal-ST-129-Chocolate-Semi-Transparent-Waterproofing-Exter ). Pictured below is two coats of stain on the posts.

Lastly, we got concrete poured!

Make sure to check back to see the outside patio furniture we picked out!
